Quoting lyrics to songs I wouldn't have heard without television

Dear readers, bloggers and people who might care for this title, expectantly awaiting the horror and bliss behind the break.

Yes, another YouTube video blog but then with songs I have heard in a show or movie that I liked and then was singing them. In my normal state of mind I would have never considered them or even thought of it. Not all stories will be as long as the other, but bare with me will you. I am pouring out my hart here.

We will start off with one widely know to everyone who knows me. I was four years old and sitting in front of the television (as ever) on a Saturday morning, watching cartoons. Telekids was on (a widely know dutch children program.) On that show they were talking about "Het Spook van de Opera." better know in English as "The Phantom of the Opera." Carlo, the male lead in Telekids was doing the main theme with a girl on the TV.  I heard the music, saw the candles light up over the misty lake and was so intrigued that I begged my mother to take me. She was hesitant at first, not being a big musical fan. But I kept the begging going for four years, though I was only seven years old, my mother finally agreed to go with me, we came to understand that the musical had ended in the previous year. I was upset but let it go. I told myself to set another goal. In 2004 while dating current boyfriend Aron, we found out that The Phantom of the Opera was going to become a movie, we went and saw the movie and it was the first time I understood why this was not appropriate to go and see with a four or five year old. But I loved every second of the movie, even though the reviews clearly stated it should have never excised. I bought the DVD and repeatedly saw the movie, my preference was the karaoke version in which the lyrics stood in the bottom and I could sing as loud as I could. I cherished this DVD for as long as my possession of it. I am sad to say, it got lost during the move. In 2012 when I was having another Phantom phandom (pun intended) episode, I learned that there was a DVD released of the actual musical. Well the English version preformed at the Royal Albert Hall because of the musicals 25th anniversary. On learning this, I sought many websites checking the pricing. I finally found a copy of 20 euro's. I could not spend 20 euro's on a DVD. I had bills to pay. I stopped collecting movies since I moved out of the house again. So I made a deal with my mother. She was going to get me the DVD as a graduation gift. (Graduation was only one month away.) I accepted. Upon watching the DVD there was a special about Love Never Dies, the sequel to the Phantom of the Opera. I got some vacation money, as is common in the Netherlands and I bought the DVD. But without further ado, I present you the video you have all been dying to see:  The Phantom Of The Opera - The Phantom of the Opera from the 2004 movie: Starting Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum

The next song is completely different in appearance as well as performance. This is the song I found while listening to the Underworld Soundtrack. The song is From A Shell by Lisa Germano. I always become emotional after and during listening to this song!

And moving on to another song. This one first came to me when seeing a preview of a cirque du solei preformance on television. I loved this song and it was not for years later that I found out what it was.

I present: Alegria by Cirque du Solei.

Moving on to a similar sound - and I do mean the tranquility, is Enya. I was not really familiar with her work, but when I watched the Lord of the Rings and heard May it Be, I was sold completely. By that time we had computers so it was not hard for me to find it. So I humbly present to you, the magical sounds of Enya with May it be (I should become a radio personality)

So my dad and I were watching tv on a saturday night and we saw this program, they had an artist in there and his music just filled us with bliss and as I said, we had computers by now so it wasn't hard for me to find more songs by this amazing artist. His name is Josh Groban and the song he played that night is You Are Loved. Which I thought I would present to you.

So I am leaving you with a few new songs to enjoy and we will see each other next time.
