Something old, very old

Dear fans and adventurers, 

Yes, I admit it, I am hooked on the show. I just started watching and finished season 1 in less than a day, which includes me working and such. If you still don't know what I'm talking about... get out from that rock. We are talking about Adventure Time with Finn and Jake

I will not review Adventure Time yet, but if these animated gifs I will put here make you curious and you haven't seen it yet, check it out. Just youtube it or tune into Cartoon Network. There will however be a review up later, way, way later.

So, since I only saw the complete first season, there are a few things I noticed about the show. First off, I am so a combination of Jake and Marceline. Why? Well for once, Jake says everything I think, he is prone to sleep and food, like me and hates running.

Then there is Marceline, also know as The Vampire Queen

She is just my all time, already, favorite character because she's a vampire, a rockstar and a rebel. I noticed some people talking about her past and I can truly relate to that story, from internet readings only and yes, I do spoiler myself, always. Marceline writes her own lyrics and they are as black as her hair. Cute fact, although she is a vampire, she only feeds of shades of red. Which is totally awesome.

 All I can say in conclusion of a wonderful new world open to me is this:

Having a totally weird fantasy about a gay man

Dear people of the world! Yes, I've noticed you.

Today, at this moment, I would like to open up to you a bit. As you might have seen from my title, I am having weird fantasy's about a gay guy. But not just any gay guy, let me assure you. I am having fantasy's about Captain Jack Harkness and the man who portrays him, Mr. John Barrowman. 

 I mean, please, just look at the man. You will now why. Well his portrayal of Captain Jack is so good that I've become hooked on Torchwood. Yes, Torchwood, the Doctor Who spin-off.


Now I know I should be doing other things, and trust me, I am, I just can't help the fact that I'm drawn to him or the series. I've had an open discussion about this with my fiance, Aron, who told me that having fantasy's was alright. After all, John Barrowman is gay. Now I'm wondering, out loud, because I am telling all of you this, if Aron does not have the same secret feeling. I know for a fact that John has a partner, but still... One can only hope. Thank god it only stays at fantasy's, or else we would be in couples counseling by now.

Books and Series

Hey Readers and Peanut-cases,


So this happens to me. I totally got lost in Percy Jackson and the battle of the labyrinth after the second chapter. My mind did not work to well for me at that point. So I left the reading alone for a while and started to listen to audio books. I finished The Host by Stephanie Meyer in record timing. 48 hours total. (The audio book lasts for 24 hours) and after that I tried to read again, but could not get any further. And so I decided to watch a few episodes of The Vampire Diaries - which was awesome.


But then the simpleness of the audio book called me again. I got on a head start, not wanting to start from the beginning this time, a shame though, in the Southern Vampire Mysteries series, or the Sookie Stackhouse series, as they are also know. Or for the people who think - wth? The book series where the TV series true blood was based on. 


I jumped into Deadlocked, the last Southern Vampire Mystery Novel, and finished it last night. I cried at parts, laughed to. Held my breath and cursed when it ended. It was way to soon for my liking. Of course the author, Charlaine Harris, had her reasons to cut it to and end. I honestly say that I cannot wait for the series to continue.


Anywhooser, I decided, while I was still in a vampire mood, to switch to the House of Night series and then start at the beginning, but my attention span held no more of these nightly creatures and this morning I started listening to the Hunger Games, again.


I also bought a few new series on DVD. Under whom are Will and Grace and Prison Break. I am DS'ing again and trying to make my mind at ease.


By the way, my mother is addicted to Facebook games.
